Again, the scholar of our group...John Ohlmann was at the helm. His knowledge of the Viking myths and the place of Asgard and the ascension to the heaven of Valhalla was the intention of this tune. Comedy and lightness..yes. This song was also a Sparing Match where John would begin a verse..and I would have to rhyme the next one to his last word. We were imitating a Viking clan at their feasting hall, raising a toast of ale to our coming deaths. We had no idea at the time..that this was indeed the last time the four of us would be making music together.
